Oh, the humiliation! Boeing May Need to be Bailed Out by Archrival Space X to Save Stranded Astronauts
NASA is worried the Starliner capsule is unsafe for re-entry and may turn to Elon Musk to bring them home
It looks like Elon Musk will have to rescue the two NASA astronauts marooned aboard the International Space Station.
Astronauts Suni Williams and Butch Wilmore were supposed to make an eight-day round-trip jaunt to the International Space Station to test out Boeing’s new Starliner space capsule.
NASA has not wanted to be totally dependent on Musk’s Space X operation, so it reached out to Boeing to develop yet another spaceship. But with busted thrusters, the two test-astronauts have no way home.
Not until next year, anyway, when Space X will come to the rescue.
